Freefall - Garden

Vlair guides Opalescence into the garden by the river. A few trees stand
around a large fountain with a statue of a maiden, cloaked in a wind blown
hooded cloak, pours water cupped in her hand from the tips of her fingers.
A bench sits next to the fountain. Vlair offers Opalescence to have a seat
on the stone bench.

Opalescence smiles to him, seating herself silently on the bench as she
watches him, wondering if he will sit beside her. She shyly casts her gaze
from him to the fountain, memorizing it's beauty.

Vlair smiles as he sits next to her, looking at the fountain where she fixes
her gaze.
Vlair says, "this cloaked maiden seems to cast water from her palm with an
ever flowing magic of water. I like it."

Opalescence nods quietly, her eyes watching the water fall into the small
pool. "It is beautiful.." She whispers, trailing her fingers along the top
of the water, playing in it gently

Vlair reaches into the water that is pouring from the maidens hand, and cups
some of the water in his. The water overflows from his hand and splashes onto
the water's surface, sending small droplets on the two seated. He tilts his
hand forward, letting the water flow from his hand as it does the maidens,
then looks to Opalescence. "This water is cool. I do not even remember what
it was like to drink from such."

Opalescence smiles, watching the water pour from his hand. "It has not even
been a year.. I remember drinking water. It always refreshed my body and soul,
it seemed." She sighs a little, taking her slender fingers from the pool of
water after a moment, wiping her hands on her tunic to dry them

Opalescence swings her feet, giggling childishly as her hair picks up in the
wind, making some of the black strands wisp across her face

Vlair looks at the maiden, the moon lights her features faintly. "This statue
was made by elven workmanship, I can tell by the cloak she wears, this is an
elven cloak." he says then looks to her, "Have you ever known an elf?

Opalescence shakes her head, turning her almond-shaped eyes up to him. "No,
sir Vlair. I have never known an elf." she sighs, bringing her knees close
to her chest, wrapping her arms around her legs. "I only know of a few races
of people"

Vlair looks out over the river with his eyes gazing on a large stone sticking
out from the ground. "That stone over there can be taken and, even in its
crude and formless structure, be cut and sculptured into anything you would
possibily want. I do love the power of art"

Opalescence nods a little, watching the rush of water spill over the sharp
rock. She lifts her head, her eyes meeting his as she smiles to him softly.
"You find beauty in everything.." She says quietly, tucking some hair behind
her ear. "I've.. never met anyone quite like you, sir Vlair.."

Opalescence nods a little, watching the rush of water spill over the sharp
rock

Vlair blushes, even in his pale complexion, a hint of red can be seen flush
his cheeks. "Thankyou, Opalescence. I do tend to find beauty in what I see."
He looks upon her, seeming to want to say something else, but holds it back.

Opalescence rests her chin on her knees, her arms still wrapped around her
legs as she starts to rock a little. She smiles, looking down to the grass
as she blushes as well, a soft smile on her rose colored lips. "But you do.
I think that is.. " she blushes, whispering shyly. "..in a way, romantic."

Vlair smiles as he looks to her. He then looks out to the flowerbeds,
standing up he walks to the flowers and picks a small redish cupped flower,
and hands it to Opalescence as he sits back down.

Opalescence smiles, letting her feet sink to the ground as she takes the
flower, caressing it's petals with her slender fingers. She looks to him,
cradling the flower in her hands. "Thank you, Sir Vlair." She giggles shyly,
smelling the flower. "..a young man giving a flower to a young maiden.. an
old courting.." She blushes, tucking the flower behind her ear, looking to
the grass again

Vlair says with a kind charm, "Romance, when you spoke of this, I couldn't
help but wish you a flower, Opalescence. You are very pretty with your
flower peeking out from your black flowing hair."'

Opalescence fidgets, smiling and blushing at the same time. "Why do you
wish for me to be a flower, sir Vlair?" She forces her eyes to gaze into
his eyes, the blush fading after a moment.

Vlair peers into her eyes with confidence, a charm comes about his lips
when he smiles to begin, "A flower blossoms from a bud, and once blossomed
feeds aroma to the aire. I wish for you to be a flower of the night, to
blossom from your daily slumber, scenting the night with your beauty that
I may see you and smile."'

Opalescence blushes, trying to make herself from not looking away from
his eyes, but she can't help but blush and shy away at his compliment.
She smiles once more, managing to look up at him. "You.. are too kind,
sir Vlair." She whispers, watching him, biting down on her lower lip a
little, wondering if he really does like her..

Vlair lifts his hand to her lips, and touches the back of his forefinger
below her lower lip, brushes his finger downward, he takes her chin and
gently raises her gaze towards his only to say, "You are very lovely and
stay on my thoughts. If only we had been mortal upon meeting one another.
Is being vampires, considered to be without love? I have always thought so."

Opalescence if she had been mortal, she would of held her breath. She
watches his eyes for a moment, blinking slowly. "If Vampires were without
love.. "She whispers, blushing as she tries to say the next part of the
sentence without stuttering. "..then why do we both feel this way?"

Vlair shakes his head slightly, then becomes still, "Out of all the
years I have been woke with the sun fading from the sky, I have never
felt for another as I do with you." he pauses.. "I do feel love for
you, my lady, it is obvious to me."'

Opalescence gazes into his eyes, watching him..finally able to find
her voice. "As.. I do you, sir.. Vlair" she whispers, trembling a little
from his words..

Vlair looks into her deep blue eyes as she speeks this, shadows lift from
him as he shifts on the bench, not removing his eyes from hers, bangs
pushed aside, he slowly moves closer to her, closes his eyes slightly,
touches his lips to hers and with a softness, and kisses her gently.'

Opalescence lets her eyes fall shut, brushing her lips shyly to his...her
hands hesitantly making their way to rest on his shoulders as she feels
him lean closer to her...can't help but shivering at being kissed so
tenderly.

Vlair brushes his cheek against hers and wraps his arms around her, one
hand ruffles the back of her hair, as he holds her for a lasting moment.'

Opalescence wraps her arms around his neck, holding him close to her...a
tear trickling down her pale cheek, giving him a soft smile. With shakey
fingers, she reaches up to touch his cheek.. blushing softly..

Vlair smiles to her, reaches one hand up to the tear that falls, catching
it on the tip of his finger, the tear is red and reminds him of their
condition. His smile nearly fades, but he looks back into her eyes and
the smile remains.'

Opalescence she watches him wipe her tear away, her eyes following his
hand. She looks back to him, tilting her a little to the side, a questioning
look on her pale features

Vlair reaches a hand up to his lips, and touches his finger to them. He
pulls his finger away, "These lips have only touched flesh for blood, to
touch your lips brings solace to my hunger." He says, peering a daze to
the corner of his eyes. He looks to her and grins assuringly.'

Opalescence blushes, moving some of her hair back over her shoulders.
"You are good with words, Sir Vlair." She smiles, watching him for a
moment before going back to fidgeting.

Vlair , with a sense of peace about him, "Words carry me through most
of my travels. I talk alot to my self, crazy as it might sound."'

Opalescence smiles softly, reaching up slowly to move his bangs away
from his brow..blushing softly as her fingers touch his dark hair.
"Words.. alway found trouble, for me." She whispers, looking away

Vlair ponders curiously briefly, and relaxes his thought, saying,
"Your words have waft kindly to my ears, shy you are, yet your confidence
comforts me."'

Opalescence smiles, folding her hands in her lap. "Thank you, sir Vlair"
she manages, holding back the single tear this time. she sighs, looking
into his eyes after a moment. "I'm afraid.. I've.. been.." closes her
eyes, her voice sounding weak. "..used.. for men's pleasure, in the past"
she bows her head, fidgeting. "That is.. why I fear love..fear of being
used, once again.."

Opalescence stretches, closing her eyes a brief moment as she clears her
mind, not wanting to remember anything at this moment..wanting some peace
with herself

Vlair bows his head silent for a time, for he knows that what she talks
about is not easy for her. He keeps to himself, and shortly he begins
humming an old folk song he learned somewhere along his journeys.'

Opalescence she sighs, hugging herself again. "You.. you'll not use me..
right, sir Vlair?" She looks to him, her eyes searching his, daring to
hope that he will not be like all the other men she had fallen for. That
he would actually care about -her- needs. She silently watches him, biting
down on her lower lip

Vlair looks to her, a vivid concern quakes his brows, "My lady, Opalescence,
you are fair and unique in your beauty, a beauty that only polishes what I
look upon right now. I see you for who I can not stop thinking of. I would
run away from your darkness if I felt I would fail at finding favor in your
heart. No, my lady, I could never use you, only hurt for you when you think
of those who did."'

Opalescence continues to watch him, her trembling hands cupping his pale
cheeks. She smiles softly, the tear finally escaping. "Thank you, sir
Vlair.." She whispers, staring into his eyes... blushing shyly when she
realizes how close she is to him..

Vlair tucks his lip and smiles, soft shimmers from the moon play on the
tears forming in his eyes, he wraps his arms around her, to hold her
close to him.'

Opalescence wraps her own arms around his neck and shoulders, gently
buring her face in his shoulder as he pulls her in closer. She closes
her eyes, savoring the feeling of being held once again. Lifting her
head to look over his shoulder, at the river beside them. She smiles
softly, shyly fingering his dark hair.

Vlair continues to hold her, moving one hand over a shoulder he tilts
his head towards her ear and speaks softly, "The sun will be coming
up not long from now, the walk back through the forest takes a while,
maybe we should be heading back now to safety. He nuzzles at her neck.'

Opalescence nods a little, closing her eyes as he nuzzles her neck.
"You're right.." She says softly, pulling away from him a little.
She offers a small smile, shyly reaching down to take his hands in hers..

Vlair takes her hand in his, cupping it within both hands then releasing
the hand to one of his as he begins to stand up. After stood up he offers
with motion to help her from the stone bench.'

Opalescence smiles and takes his kind offer, blushing softly as he helps
her stand from the bench

Vlair wraps his other hand around her waiste, moves to the side, softly
releases her hand that he holds high and begins to walk towards the forest.
He reaches down from around her waiste to hold her hand.'

Opalescence smiles to him softly, watching his hand take hers. She twirls a
strand of black hair around a finger as they walk, glancing to Vlair and
giving him a soft smile

Vlair looks to her with a smile, as she plays with her hair. He doesn't
say much along the way, just looks to her smiling as they walk through
the forest towards the caves within.'

Opalescence returns his smiles, not saying much either..giving his hand
a soft squeeze when their eyes meet.

Vlair finds the caves opening that he was looking for, small, but
noticable elven writing can be seen etched into the entrance of the
cave. Vlair leads her into the caves, seaking the dark there within.

Opalescence looks at he elven writing with interest, wondering what
it says in the wall..

Vlair stops as he notices her examining the writing, he glances at
them, "These writings speak vaguely of our kind, this is a refuge
for us and is to be a safe place. We are accepted by the elven race
as they feel for us and our condition."'

Opalescence runs her fingers along the writing, smiling a little.
"How kind of them.." She looks back to him, wiping the dust from her
fingers.

Vlair nods, "Very kind indeed." he leads further into the caves and
the darkness within.'
